Founders and education

I am presently in several battles with my local school district about innaccuracies regarding material our children are being taught.

The issues I am dealing with presently are:

1. "Some of our founders and early presidents were homosexuals"
2. "Evolution is a fact, I do not care what religion you are...There has been confirmed DNA samples taken from apes and humans and they were found to be identical..."

I found it interesting that people who know little or nothing about history, or science, apparently, have the authority to teach such innacurate information even having the luxury to spend our tax payer dollars to do it.

John Adams said: "Our Constitution was written for a moral and religious people..."

Benjamin Rush said: " I beg leave to remark that the only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be laid on the foundation of religion, without it [religion] there can be no virtue, without virtue no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments" " but the religion I mean is to recommend is that of the new terstement"

A Christian cannot fail of being a republican,,,for every precept of the gosspel teaches those a degree of humility, self-denial, and brotherly kindness..."

A Christian cannot fail of being useful to the republic for his religion teaches him that " no man liveth for himself"

"A great example amongst all powers is that of Christendom"

In thoughts of secular education:

" It would not seem practical to teach...appreciation of the arts if we are to forbid exposure of youth to any religious influences, music without sacred music, architecture without cathedral, or painting without "scriptural themes even from a secualr point of view."

Our founding fathers knew as Hitler, Stalin, Marx and others that He who controls the children , controls the future.

Don't you think it's time to wake up and realize how far we have fallen away from our countries foundations. I guess if we are a country that no longer desires to be a Godly, brotherly, free country, giving into lusts of the flesh, immorality, deceit, murder, selfishness, I can try to understand it but can we at least not deny what we once were...a Chrsitian nation, founded on biblical principles?
