Breakfast followed by Tea

Saturday was a day in which began with a leadership prayer breakfast. Many of the Christian who's who in local politics were there to help lift one another up as we collectively pray for our nation. It was a time that many believe is much needed. The title of the breakfast appropriately tagged with the scripture:

2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)
14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

After returning home to pick up my son, I had found out that his cousin came over for awhile and they were hanging out together. As promised, I told him I was there to go to the Boise Tea Party when he asked me if his cousin could go to. My son is familiar with public demonstrations and has a fairly good idea what to expect and was informing his cousin in all that would be possible during our demonstration.

We arrived at the location only to find much less in the way of demonstrators than I had anticipated after all it was cold outside and what could be more important than staying warm while our country is being given over to the "Socialism ideology" by the ignorant minority who claims that "WE" are the ones who are not educated.

I must admit, although the group of people was not as large as I had hoped, I hadn't seen patriotism like this in years, well since 9-11 when the flags came out on every car and for a brief moment we realized we may have needed Gods's help.

Signs held by fellow Americans, young and old. Signs like "End the Fed", "big government is Socialism", "One nation under God" and signs apparently done by the children themselves that read" Stay out of my piggybank" or "My pay do I not have a say?" When asking several of these children why they were here they said "because my family teaches me about what is happening". They appear to be far more educated than many adults I know.

The thing I found most disturbing was the amount of people who yelled profanity, gave us "The finger" and other interesting gestures to me snubbing their nose at the very concept of what they practice... the freedom that has been bought and payed for by the veterans who gave their life for them, those who had a reverance for our country, Almighty God and the country "for which it stands".

If I were ever at a moment in my life where I would allow myself to lose control, this may have been that time.

This country is nothing as it were nor will it ever be again unless God rattles the cage of HIs inhabitants on this earth. The continued disrespect for eachother only in my eyes getting worse by the day but the problem being that we as a society have become so numb we do not see the moral decline because it has been rather slow and progressive and we have become so focused on "me" , "what's in it for me".

It is my opinion, with what kind of "Change" I have seen in our administrations first 50 days is that we will soon be at a point where we will no longer be able to see where we came from in order to go back if that ever became the desire of the people.(great awakening)

The Tea party was a patriotic demonstration by a group of patriotic Americans who have awakened to the fact that we are going down with the ship unless we do something.

Civil unrest, peaceful demonstrations will continue and begin to spiral out of control and become more violent until our country is in complete chaos or until this present administration realizes that his position is to represent "the people".

To those whom have ushered in the "Change" I hope you are ready for what youv'e started, afterall this has happened all through history, if they read there history they may have been able to divert what assuredly looms ahead.

Could Thomas Jefferson tell the future?

The most favorite so called "Atheist" president we have ever had. Those who believe this will probably also find it difficult to believe that Thomas Jefferson may have had a divine ability to fortell the future.

In light of our present economic crisis do you suppose he may have? He quotes:

"When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe ."
Thomas Jefferson

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."
Thomas Jefferson

"It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world. "
Thomas Jefferson

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."
Thomas Jefferson

"My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government. "
Thomas Jefferson

"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms."
Thomas Jefferson

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. "
Thomas Jefferson

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
Thomas Jefferson

and the most Interesting Quote for our time:
Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

People tell me that the documents that were written by our founders are old and out of date...Does it really seem that way to you?

Atheist group places billboard in Boise

Iam truly dissappointed at the utter ignorance of the people in this state and others around this country to allow such a group to disrespect our history as a nation and the people who fought for their religious freedom UNDER GOD, to publically deny his very existence even though proof of it is everywhere! The ignornace of this group and what they believe is so obvious if one would just look.
If this group felt like it was their right under the first amendment under "free speech" they are wrong, or were according to our founding fathers. The Supreme court in 1798 not only recognized America as a Christian nation but threw out court cases and denied the testimony of an Atheist simply because He would not acknowledge faith in God,in addition, the Supreme court also had quoted that they were suprised at his lack of acknowledgement and that they never knew someone who didn't believe in God.
If one has ever read the first amendment they would also realize that it was a "freedom OF religion" NOT "freedom FROM religion". What makes this rather funny is that if they truly stand for freedom from religion then someone ought to tell them that in 1961 (Torcaso v. Watkins)The Supreme court declared that Atheism along with "Secular humanism" were both religions!
The more someone looked into the ideology of Atheism the more they would see that nothing they believe has anything credible to sustantiate it.
I am not saying they do not have the right to believe as they do, I just don't believe that they have the right to post sacreligious rhetoric in a country founded on the principles of Jesus Christ.
As America stands today, we have become completely ignorant of our history, instead ,professing to the poison of "tolerance" and "diversity" to excelerate the moral decline of this country.

What is "Hate", who "hates" who?

I struggle with the word "hate" so much in my daily life because I, as a man of God, am called to preach the truth in love and to tell people about the good news of Christ. I would like to not only believe I have a heart for people but for them to see that I have the heart for them as well because without them seeing it my mission is meaningless.

I had a conference last year where we had several pastors come from around the country to preach the gospel message and the continuity of this message on our society- politically, economically and morally.

Scott Lively was one of the speakers at this conference. His expertise created some opposition in protest but only because I believe that no one cared or took the time to understand his position, his tireless effort and reasearch to claim this expertise and the lack of knowledge of the people in opposition on the true facts of this issue claming it as heresy.I found an essay worth sharing that may shed some light on the dilemma that faces Christians as they try to do change hearts and minds for Christ as He has called us to. He writes:

Is Hating "Haters" Hateful?Essay on the double standard being used by the Left in the public debate on homosexuality.

Hate carries a negative connotation in the world today. No one wants to be called a hater, especially Christians. Homosexuals are especially fond of calling people haters. They even invented the word "homophobia", which means hate and fear of homosexuals, envisaged as a mental illness (a phobia is an anxiety disorder). I hate being called a homophobe. It has such an ugly connotation.

Its especially unpleasant because, as a Christian, I’m supposed to have a reputation for loving people, not hating them. So I’ve worked really hard over the years to try to get the homosexuals to stop calling me a homophobe. I’ve pointed out the difference between hating people and hating their behavior (loving the sinner but hating the sin- not a biblical phrse, by the way). They hated that.

Then I tried “walking my talk” by taking an ex-”gay” man who was dying of AIDS into my family. My wife and I and our children loved and cared for him during the last year of his life. They hated that even more.

Then I began asking for guidance from homosexuals themselves: “Tell me, where is the line between homophobia and acceptable opposition to homosexuality?” I asked.

“What if I just agree with the Bible that homosexuality is a sin no worse than any other sex outside of marriage?” “No, that‘s homophobic,” they replied. “Suppose I talk only about the proven medical hazards of gay sex and try to discourage people from hurting themselves?“ “No, you can’t do that,” they said. “How about if I say that homosexuals have the option to change if they choose?” “Ridiculous” they answered. “Maybe I could just be completely positive, say nothing about homosexuality, and focus only on promoting the natural family and traditional marriage?” “That’s really hateful,” they replied.

After I while, I realized that the only way I could get them to stop calling me a homophobe was to start agreeing with them about everything. But here’s my dilemma: I honestly believe the Bible which says that homosexuality is wrong and harmful and that all sex belongs within marriage. I’ve also read the professional studies and know that “gay” sex hurts people because it goes against the design of their bodies. And I’m friends with a number of former homosexuals who are now married and living heterosexual lives. Do I have to give up my religion? Ignore scientific facts? Betray my friends? Is that the only way to avoid being called a hater and a homophobe? There’s no escape.

A homophobe is anyone who, for any reason, disapproves of homosexuality in any way, shape, manner, form or degree. This leaves me with just two choices: agree that everything about homosexuality is natural, normal, healthy, moral and worthy to be celebrated OR be labeled as a mentally ill, hate-filled bigot.

Am I wrong? Is there any way to openly disapprove of homosexuality without being a homophobe? “Gay” leaders, please set me straight on this. Because if I’m right, that means the “gay agenda” is to stop everyone from following the Bible regarding sexual matters. It is, after all, their stated goal to “stamp out homophobia.” No more religious freedom. It’s also to suppress scientific research that has reached conclusions they don’t like, especially if it helps people to change their homosexual orientation back to a heterosexual one (ask the doctors and scientists at narth.com what they’ve had to endure).

If it discourages homosexuality, even by implication, it’s homophobic and can‘t be used. There’s a queer reasoning behind all of this. Homosexuals call me names like bigot and homophobe, condemn my religion, mock my rational conclusions about social issues, impugn my motives, display intense hostility toward my actions, and curse my very existence, all under the justification that I’m a “hater.” But if I’m a “hater” for civilly opposing what they do, why aren’t they haters for uncivilly opposing what I do?

Such a double standard, in the context of a public debate on “civil rights,” is not just hypocritical, it is surreal. I admit I have some hate. I hate watching people kill themselves with preventable diseases like AIDS. I hate seeing children being steered toward unhealthy lifestyles. I hate having my pro-family views distorted by dishonest journalists, politicians and academics. And I hate seeing my God being treated like a homophobe for what He teaches in His Bible.

So if you’re not going to stop calling me a “hater” for wanting homosexuals to be saved and healed, or for opposing their political agenda, let's at least see a little more of that famous “American sense of fair play” in the public debate on this issue.

Hatred of “haters” is hateful too.

Who am I?

I was born in one country, raised in another.
My father was born in another country.
I was not his only child.
He fathered several children with numerous women.
I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me.
My mother died at an early age from cancer.
Later in life, questions arose over my real name.
My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.
I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but i practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.
I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.
That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.
I wrote a book about my struggles growing up.
It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.
I became active in loval politics, then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s.
They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything.
That reinforced my conceit.
I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization.
Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks.
I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances.
This bolstered my ego.
At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy.
I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country.
But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy.
I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free.
I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess.
It was the free market, banks & corporations.
I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.
I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that sounded good to all people.
I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics and was able to gain widespread popular support.
I knew that if i merely offered the people 'hope', together we could change our country and the world.
So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities" like the Jews.
My true views were not widely known and I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader.
I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with.
I'm glad they didn't.
Then I became the most powerful man in the world.
And the world learned the truth.

Is "tolerance" killing America?

In today's world where we speak in terms of "tolerance" and "diversity" and are proud of our stance, very few of us see the tragic implications of what these words really mean at least in the more "progressive" sense, today's adaptation.

America has been known for it's strength, it's integrity and unwillingness to vere away from it's principles until, I believe, these words became the "norm" for today's society. I came across this article and as I was reading it I found the striking resemblances to the way America was in it's early years when people came here to seek religious freedom and somehow assimilated into our culture, spoke our languages fought in our wars and enjoyed their individual liberty, we were United as a country, today, however, it is a different story.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - Australia Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Rudd angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.
Quote:
'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. '

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom' 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'

'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.' 'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this."

But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.''If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

For those who dissagree, it is important that you do your homework and truly begin to understand that "tolerance" will ultimately mean a continual violation of your rights. Become educated and make a difference while you still can.

Similarities between Christians and Hollywood?

I was watching television last night and a commercial for UNICEF came on , appearing to be sponsored by our hollywood celebrities pleading about how we should help the children. I love children and am drawn when viewing to do what I can to help these children. These commercials break my heart as we watch the dire consequences, the famine, pestilence and violence of what their parents have left for them.It was a plea that appeared to be targeting the American people to help the children in hard hit areas around the world.

At first glance it would appear that these hollywood celebs really do care about the children, but after a moment I wondered "Who's children do they really care for?" I tried to watch this commercial objectively and realized I couldn't , to me, it appeared they cared more about the children in other countries than our own. Why do I say this?

There are 55oo children a day in America that lose their lives. 50 million since the 1950's. Their lives appear to be lost due to the "CHOICE", selfishness, lack of self control or merely for convenience and has become a mere option or "convenience" for the fast-paced American lifestyle. Why is it that Hollywood celebs do nothing to stand against the murder of the unborn in our own country?

As I began to ponder this commercial I realized this plea, by hollywood, is much like the "Christians" and their plea to spare innocent life except for one thing, the hollywood celebs are not being met with any opposition, why?

If I am a hollywood celeb and feel that I need to promote UNICEF to help save innocent lives, it is my passion and what I feel deep down inside as a driving force to help these children.
If I am a "Christian" and I feel the need to protect these children and is my passion, why am I met with such opposition?

For the sake of argument, what if these countries believed in having these children grow up this way? What if it is a mere option,'CHOICE",convenience, or religious belief for them for whatever reason, who are we to try to change their ideology? Do we believe it is immoral? inhumane? sacreligious?Yet the hollywood celebs push on in their quest to "save the children"

I never thought I would compare Christians to hollywood but I find the continuity in the area of fighting for a cause to be strickingly similar.

As Hollywood contiues to try to "save the children" across the world in what their parents have left for them, for whatever reason, we, the Christians, who believe in the sanctity of life, will continue to try to save them here from what future we, as parents, have left for ours, for those who are left and be thankful for each one saved.
